  "message": "ich9: add disable_s3, disable_s4, s4_val properties\n\nPIIX4 has disable_s3 and disable_s4 properties to enable or disable PM\nfunctions.  Add such properties to the ICH9 chipset as well for the Q35\nmachine type.\n\nS3 / S4 are not guaranteed to always work (needs work in the guest as\nwell as QEMU for things to work properly), and disabling advertising of\nthese features ensures guests don\u0027t go into zombie state if something\nisn\u0027t working right.\n\nThe defaults are kept the same as in PIIX4: both S3 and S4 are enabled\nby default.\n\nThese can be disabled via the cmdline:\n\n  ... -global ICH9-LPC.disable_s3\u003d1 -global ICH9-LPC.disable_s4\u003d1\n\nNote: some guests can fake hibernation by writing a hibernate image and\ndoing a shutdown instead of S4 if S4 isn\u0027t available; there\u0027s nothing we\ncan do guests to stop doing this, and this patch can\u0027t affect that\nfunctionality.\n\nSigned-off-by: Amit Shah \u003camit.shah@redhat.com\u003e\nReviewed-by: Michael S.
